Gurang Director Nomination

Invitation for Gurang Director Nominations 2026

Gurang Representative Directors have asked the First Nations Bailai, Gurang, Gooreng Gooreng, Taribelang Bunda Development Corporation Ltd to assist the Gurang People with their Director Nomination and Election process.

You may be familiar with this process from previous years and Director Elections will again consist of the following three steps:

  1. Request for Nominations
  2. Voting for Eligible Nominees
  3. Director Appointments

Accordingly, we are seeking nominations from Gurang people for Director positions on the Board of Port Curtis Coral Coast Ltd (PCCC Ltd) as trustee for Port Curtis Coral Coast Aboriginal Peoples Charitable Trust (PCCC Trust).

Please note that these positions involve a considerable workload, and Directors will be expected to attend and participate in regular Board meetings, Committee meetings, strategic workshops and community forums. Attendance at scheduled meetings may require travel and, at times, meetings may be scheduled on weekends and after hours.

We encourage those members interested in nominating to become a Director to familiarise themselves with the duties and responsibilities of a Board Director and be willing to undergo formal governance training, complete State and Nation Criminal History checks and align to the vision and direction of the Corporation.

STEP 1: Request for Nominations

Prior to voting to elect new Gurang Directors, nominations are sought from individuals from the Gurang Nation who believe they can effectively represent the Gurang people as a representative director on the PCCC Ltd Board.

Consistent with Gurang's historic approach to nominating and electing Directors, all Gurang nominees must identify if they’re nominating as Gurang Meerooni or Gurang Toolooa representatives.

Those who wish to nominate must complete the attached forms and send to the Returning Officer, Dillon Bowers Lawyers by post or email by COB Friday 8 May 2026.

Ballots will be coordinated independently by the Returning Officer.

STEP 3: Appointing Directors

Once the votes are received and counted by the Returning Officer, the successful nominees will be communicated to the Company Secretary and Board appointments will be made.
