Murri Christmas: Under Dreamtime Movie Night

As the festive season approaches, communities around the world come together to celebrate the spirit of togetherness and joy. In the heart of Bundaberg, a unique and enchanting event is taking place this year - The Murri Christmas: Under Dreamtime Movie Night. This free community event, held on December 14, brings people together under the dreamtime sky for a night filled with a wide array of entertainment, stalls, food and boundless joy for people of all ages.

The Murri Christmas: Under Dreamtime Movie Night is a celebration that blends the joy of Christmas with the rich cultural heritage of First Nations people. The event offers a platform for the local community and visitors alike to immerse themselves in the traditions, stories, and supports available. Once of the most captivating aspects of this even is the dreamtime ambience that envelops the venue. The dreamtime, a concept deeply rooted in Aboriginal culture, refers to the creation period when ancestral beings shape the land and its inhabitants. Under the dreamtime sky, attendees are immersed into connecting with the spiritual essence of the land and its people.

This night will encapsulate the essence of community, culture and celebration. We call on the Bundaberg local community to partake in the festivities at 48 Quay Street (back entrance to building of the Aboriginal Corporation for Development of Community). By embracing this event, we not only honor the Traditional Owners and their traditions but also deepen our communities connection with the land and its ancient stories.

So, mark your calendars, book your spot, and immerse yourself in the magic of the Murri Christmas: Under Dreamtime Move Night, where joy, unity and cultural appreciation blend harmoniously under the sky.

This is event is proudly hosted by Port Curtis Coral Coast Trust Ltd & CQID.
