Dorrie Day 2024

The 2024 Dorrie Day Careers Expo, hosted by the First Nations Bailai, Gurang, Gooreng Gooreng & Taribelang Bunda Peoples, promises to be an inspiring and educational event for all attendees. Taking place in Gladstone on August 1st and in Bundaberg on August 29th, both events will run from 10am to 3pm, offering a full day of exploration and learning opportunities.

With over 500 Primary – Year 12 students and community members from the regions expected to attend, this is a fantastic chance for sponsors and exhibitors to engage with a diverse audience and make a positive impact on the next generation.

Sites & Setup

Both events are outside events and will have very limited access to shade, power or water, you are welcome to bring your own generator if required.

Drugs & alcohol

The Dorrie Day Careers Expo hosted by First Nations Bailai, Gurang, Gooreng Gooreng & Taribelang Bunda Peoples is a drug and alcohol-free event

Stall set-up and event stall management

- Event starts at 10am, but setup can begin as early as 7am.
- All stalls must be fully set up by 9am on the day of the event.
- Car access to sites is permitted until 9am, after which all vehicles must be moved to allocated parking unless they are part of an exhibit.

Media Permissions

Footage, photographs, and/or quotes may be used for media and marketing purposes to promote the Gladstone and Bundaberg Dorrie Day Careers Expos. Media and marketing purposes include advertising and editorial in a range of publications, including newspaper, magazine and digital mediums, online content including website and social media, media releases and event and interview footage produced by third parties for the specific promotion of the Expos.

Booklet & Website Content

A Career Expo Booklet will be printed and distributed to all attendees of Expos and local schools.

Various advertisement sizes are extended to Major Sponsors based on their level of sponsorship commitment (please consult page 2 to verify the advertisement size). Additionally, all other exhibitors are provided with a business placement feature.

Please provide the required information and images at the end of this form. If not provided, these must be returned separately no later than Friday 9th June 2024 with company logo, content, contact details and relevant images.

Failure to return the required documents by the due date may exclude your organisaton from being advertised in the booklet. A proof of the booklet page will be sent to each exhibitor, with a minimum 72 hour approval period before going to print.

Acknowledgment

Advertisment design and/or Career Expo Book

The Career Expo booklets are professionally created and printed by a local graphic design company. Booklets are provided to schools and the wider community prior to the event date, and distributed to exhibitors and students on the day. Students are Year 6-12 from various schools in the Gladstone and Bundaberg Regions, who may be leaving school within the next 12 months, or continuing with full-time and/or vocational education, as well as the wider First Nations community in attendance.
