PCCC Funeral Assistance Program:
The Trust understands it can be a very difficult time when a family member passes away and has developed the Funeral Assistance Program to help during this time. Assistance has been made available up to a maximum of $2,000 as a contribution toward funeral expenses.
For more information about eligibility and how to apply click on the Funeral Assistance Application form here...
This program remains open at all times and we encourage family members to contact the office if you have any questions about the program.
We also acknowledge that the assistance provided by the Trust may not always cover all expenses associated with funerals so we have included some links below of other programs that may provide assistance.
Queensland Government Funeral Assistance
When you cannot afford a funeral for a friend or relative who passed away in Queensland and their assets will not cover their funeral costs, you may be able to get funeral assistance through The Department of Justice & Attorney General. This program is not a grant and does require funds to be paid back via a payment plan with the Department.

Aboriginal Community Funeral Plan
The Aboriginal Community Funeral Plan has been designed to help with funeral expenses and to help families avoid the stress and hardship at a time of sadness and grief.
Benefit amounts from $4,000 to $15,000 are available and the amount available for each person will depend on the person’s age, health and their personal requirements.
Aboriginal Community Funeral Plans are a form of insurance policy and operate with similar payment and benefit methods. They are designed to be an ongoing policy and will only provide assistance to applications received in advance of loved ones passing.
